LIFE IS ART
About Kenneth Crackton
Born out out of a passion for graffiti and a love of colors, I spent a great deal of my youth painting the walls of Copenhagen. It slowly transformed into playing with drips, splat and forms. In graffiti letters often are the work, but for me it changed into an element of the art. I'm inspired by nature, poetry, order, chaos, a spilled glass of milk and drips of rain on a window. I paint what the inside of my mind looks like. I have taken a six month course at an art school and six months of graphic design (both at Designskolen Nykøbing F), but apart from that I'm mostly self-taught. Hellover is a statement more than a name. A combination of Hello and Over, my old graffiti name. Hello Over, Hell Lover, Hello Lover, Hell Over. It's whatever you want it to be. For a long time I didn't know anything about art styles like surrealism and abstract expressionism, but now I enjoy studying old masters like Max Ernst, Salvador Dali, Jackson Pollock and Asger Jorn and try to incorporate the past as I paint my own future.
